How to Install Radio Depot

This guide walks you through downloading and installing Radio Depot on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC. The process takes around 5 minutes.

## Before You Begin

**Operating System**Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)

**RAM**4 GB minimum (8 GB recommended)

**Disk Space**200 MB free space

**Internet**Required for download and activation

**Permissions**Administrator account on the PC

---

## Installation Steps

1

### Download the Installer

Go to **radiodepot.co.uk/support** and click **Download Software**, or visit your order confirmation email and click the download link. Save the installer file (`RadioDepotSetup.exe`) to your Downloads folder.

2

### Run the Installer

Double-click `RadioDepotSetup.exe` to launch the installer. Windows may show a User Account Control prompt asking *"Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?"* — click **Yes** to continue.

If Windows Defender SmartScreen shows a warning, click **More info** then **Run anyway**. This happens because the installer is freshly signed and not yet widely recognised by Microsoft.

3

### Follow the Setup Wizard

The setup wizard will open. Click **Next** through the screens, accepting the licence agreement. Unless you have a specific reason to change it, leave the installation folder as the default (`C:Program FilesRadio Depot`) and click **Install**.

4

### Wait for Installation to Complete

The installer will copy files and create a desktop shortcut. This takes around 30–60 seconds. When complete, you will see an *"Installation Successful"* screen. Click **Finish**.

5

### Launch Radio Depot

Double-click the **Radio Depot** shortcut on your desktop, or find it in the Start menu. The application will open and prompt you to enter a licence key.

6

### Enter Your Licence Key

Go to **Settings → Licence** inside Radio Depot. Paste or type the licence key from your purchase confirmation email and click **Activate**. An internet connection is required for this step. Once activated, the full application will unlock immediately.

✅ Your licence key was sent to the email address you used at checkout. Check your spam folder if you can't find it. You can also view and copy your key at any time by logging into the portal at **portal.radiodepot.co.uk**.

7

### Complete Initial Setup

On first launch, Radio Depot will guide you through creating your first department and importing or adding your radio fleet. You can also import users from an Excel spreadsheet via **Users → Import**.

## 🔧 Troubleshooting

**The installer won't open / says "Windows protected your PC"**Right-click the installer file → Properties → tick *Unblock* → OK, then try again. Alternatively click "More info" on the SmartScreen dialog and then "Run anyway".

**Activation fails with "Invalid key" error**Check you have copied the full key with no extra spaces. Keys are case-sensitive. If the problem persists, contact support with your order number.

**Activation fails with "No internet connection" error**Radio Depot needs to reach our licence server during activation. Check your firewall or antivirus is not blocking outbound connections from Radio Depot.

**The application crashes on launch**Make sure your Windows is fully up to date (Settings → Windows Update). Also try right-clicking the desktop shortcut and selecting *Run as administrator*.
